Transitioning from toddler to the 2’s & 3’s is a joyful time in your child’s life that comes with many changes! In our classroom your child will begin preparing for preschool by participating in many age appropriate activities such as exploring messy sensory, creative art activities, and introduction to colors, shapes, and alphabet. The children will also reach many new milestones in their development of communication, social and emotional, physical, and cognitive skills. We also assist our families with beginning potty training to make sure the children are prepared for the 3-year-old preschool program which requires all student’s to be fully potty trained.

While this new age is an exciting time, we are also prepared for new behaviors which may or may not be the most favorable. We will always communicate with you in regards to any reoccurring behavior issues and work closely with our families for the continuity of care for our students. Please know that we are here to create a wonderful learning experience for your child and to offer any support to our families!

Please call the school office at 812-336-5853 for information on class availability!

This is what your child will learn about and experience while in our care:
* Many sensory and creative art projects for the children to explore
* We focus on the children’s development of motor skills and independent life skills; such as using cups without lids and beginning potty training
* Help foster early communication skills through conflict resolution and problem solving by teaching them to use words and not hands
* Introduction of circle time (6-9 minutes long) which consists of a story, songs, and fingerplays
* Reinforce early literacy skills through story telling and puppet shows
* Aide with the development of social and emotional skills through play

*Developmental Milestones can be found posted outside of the classroom.
