Transitioning from baby to toddler is a wonderful and exciting time in your child’s life! Your child will begin to try new foods, explore messy sensory and art activities, and reach many new milestones – such as speaking!
In our room, we treat every child with the same love and nurturing they receive at home and teach them the basic fundamentals of interacting with each other while learning how to be self-sufficient. Also, please know that we are here to create a wonderful learning experience for your child and to offer any support to our families. We ask that parents communicate with us the needs of your child. Your child is our number one priority!
This is what your child will learn about and experience while in our care: * Many sensory and creative art projects for the children to explore * We focus on the children’s development of motor skills and independent life skills; such as self-feeding with utensils * Use of sippy cups rather than bottles * Introduce sign language to help foster early communication skills * Introduction of circle time (5-7 minutes long) which consists of a story, songs, and fingerplays * Nurture early literacy skills through story telling * Aide with the development of social and emotional skills through play
Sincerely, Ms. Emily, Ms. Mollie, & Ms. Jan *Developmental Milestones can be found posted outside of the classroom.
