Middle School Spanish
Our Middle School Spanish program is designed to capture the interests of our students and take them on an amazing journey to learn the Spanish language and the cultures of the places where Spanish is spoken.
In 6th grade, students will create a basis of vocabulary that will help them understand the basics of the language and will work as a foundational for the grammatical structures they will need in order to speak the language fluently in the future.
In 7th and 8th grade, students receive high school level instruction focusing on learning the basics of Spanish grammar and developing conversational skills. They will be eligible for Spanish 1 credit in high school and have the option of taking Spanish II their freshman year.
Middle School students will learn through fun activities where they combine Total Physical Response techniques, skits, presentations, projects, and many cultural enrichment activities like the celebration of the Day of the Dead and Hispanic Heritage month.
