Volunteers
We appreciate all of our volunteers! You are an integral part of our school family and help make our school successful. All new volunteers are required to complete the training program through the Archdiocese of Indianapolis called Safe Parish. This involves watching a video about child safety and answering questions at the end of the session. You can access the Safe Parish site at archindysafeparish.org. The access code for Safe Parish is archindy2021. You will need to create a username and password. Please be sure to sign up under St. Charles Borromeo Bloomington as your home parish or organization.
You will also complete a background check for your position.
**Please note: IU students coming for field experience/student teaching, please complete the background check for teachers! After you have submitted your background check form, you will receive two emails from [email protected]. One email will provide a link to their site and the other email will have the password to use. The emails are time sensitive, and the forms will expire if not completed in time. Please check your spam or junk folders as well when looking for emails, they have been known to be found there. DCS will ask for your residency information back to 1988, or date of birth, whichever is later. If you do not have your exact address information, state, city, and county will suffice.
At the end of the Safe Parish training, you will agree to the Code of Conduct on the Safe Parish website.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Siobhan Dennis in the school office at [email protected] or 812-336-5853.
